4月27日上午,北京市语言学会语言与文化研究会在北京语言学院举行第一届语言与文化讨论会。会上,就汉语、汉字、训诂、少数民族语言、外语翻译和对外汉语教学等方面与文化的关系宣读了五篇论文,进行了热烈讨论。参加讨论会的有胡厚宣、张清常、陈原、张寿康、胡明扬、吕必松、仲哲明、程棠等专家、领导,以及研究会成员约100人。研究会会长陈建民在会上作了“开场白”。他说:
On the morning of April 27, the Beijing Language Institute Institute for Language and Culture held its first language and culture seminar at Beijing Language and Culture Institute. During the conference, five papers were read about the relationship between culture and Chinese, Chinese characters, exegesis, minority languages, foreign language translation and teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and discussions were heatedly held. There were about 100 experts, leaders and researchers from the institutes such as Hu Houxuan, Zhang Qingchang, Chen Yuan, Zhang Shoukang, Hu Mingyang, Lu Beisong, Zhong Zheming and Cheng Tong.
