Drama is a kind of exotic product. In 1907, a group of Chinese students from Japan organized “Chunliu Society” and performed “Camellia” and “Tom Uncle” in Tokyo. In the same year, they went back to Shanghai to perform. So the drama became popular. This drama, “Do not Music, Do not Sing, Speak Completely,” adopts a realistic approach that is quite different from the ancient Chinese drama. At that time, to distinguish it from “old drama”, called “new drama”, and considered as progressive, it was also called “civilized drama”, as well as the name of the day “essay drama”, “Plays”, many names. So how did the name “drama” come from? In his article “How the Left Playwrights Alliance was Made up,” Zhao Mingyi said: March 1928 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Norwegian dramatist Ibsen.
