当我们沿途从阴冷潮湿的苏黎世，在托斯卡纳稍做停留再向南进时，意大利南方的春天在这里早已盎然，各路缤纷，带着南部特有的浓郁，热情奔放，夺人眼目，一时间，使得我们来自远方的游客，不由得心情如花绽放。而阿玛尔菲海岸的摄人魔力，在我们距离酒店还有一小时车程，却只有30公里的直线距离时，愈来愈紧的侵袭蔓延上来。
敞篷车沿着在地中海的峭壁修建的公路迂回上驶，仿佛已经与混合着阳光、海风和花香的空气融为一体。神造万物，似乎独爱此地，我们的心情佐以安德鲁.波切利撩人的歌声，如同电影长镜头般的徐徐展开。在这西方文明、艺术和文化的发源地，感叹造物主奇妙作为，面对几个世纪前建立的人类文明，我们所有的惊艳岂一个“wow”字了得。
We were driving from the cold and damp Zürich. We stopped by Tuscany and continued southward. Then we found that the spring was already in Italy. The Amalfi Coast worked its magic on the beautiful seaside scenery. We were still one hour's drive， a 30-km crow-fly distance， away from our hotel， but we were getting more and more excited！
Driving along the Mediterranean cliffs， our roadster seemed to blend with the sunshine， sea breezes and the scent of flowers. God created everything， but He seems to love this place alone. Accompanied by Andrea Bocelli's singing and faced with the origins of Western civilization， art and culture， all we could do was to feel this beautiful place in awe.

MONASTERO SANTA ROSA HOTEL AND SPA is located on a hill， 5 minutes' drive from the town of Amalfi. The hotel was built in 1681 by an abandoned monastery. Then the monastery was converted into a hotel composed of 20 rooms and 8 apartments. The hotel preserves the original main structure and the church which is now in normal use. With the use of modern building techniques， the luxury hotel's necessary ancillary facilities， infinity pool， open-air bar， open-air gym and high-end spa were built on the cliffs of the Mediterranean and neatly arranged down the slope of the hill as well as the indoor and outdoor restaurants on the terrace. The hotel also has a garden in the southern Italian style. The beautiful sea view has become part of the hotel.
When Jacqueline Kennedy was the First Lady of the United States， she loved Amalfi and held parties here many times， especially on cruisers. Jacqueline lived in the hotel for one night. The last nun of the monastery died in the early 19th century. It had never gone through maintenance until 1999 when it was discovered by an American lady. She bought the place the next year. After the lady had worked with local architects for 12 years， the hotel opened in 2012. 酒店平面呈L型布局，共上下四层。入口极为低调，保留了修道院原有的厚重木质大门。进入酒店，世外的尘嚣仿佛刷一下突然消失，唯留修道院寂静奢华的长廊，温馨休憩的公共空间，配以小型露台为框的天然画卷。从室外灿烂的阳光进入略微幽暗的建筑，有种心灵被洗涤的感觉。酒店接待人员送上修女们最爱的解暑饮品——柠檬轻饮，让旅客卸下旅途劳顿。
室内设计仍然保留修道院的清水混凝土抛光风格，公共休憩部分如小品般的布置在楼道连接空间，仅需满足服务需求，并不夸张，朴实中显出极其低调的奢华。每个客房均在原有修女房间的基础上予以改建，并以意大利南部的花卉来命名。房间内部非常现代高档，洗手间干湿分离，设有地暖。与卧室的连接处配有落地衣橱，适用的同时，极具舒适感、归属感，让人徜徉在满屋花香里，或浸泡在花瓣水疗里，看落日余辉将海水染成金色，不想再回尘世。
The hotel is in an L shape when seen from above， with a total of four floors. The entrance appears low-key and retains the original heavy wooden door of the monastery. When you step into the hotel， the outside world seems to disappear suddenly， only creating a picture composed of a silent luxury corridor and warm public spaces with the small terrace as the frame. Bright sunlight entered the building from outside， while the hotel reception staff brought the nuns' favorite beverage to relieve the summer heat_a light lemon drink， so that the guests can get rid of travel fatigue.
The interior design retains the polished concrete of the monastery. Public resting places are scattered in the passage-connecting spaces， low-key and unexaggerated. Each room is rebuilt based on the original dormitory of the nuns， and is named after a flower growing in southern Italy. The rooms are all modern and upscale， with wet and dry separation bathrooms and floor heating. In the bedroom there is a cozy floor-to-ceiling wardrobe which creates a sense of belonging. Soaking in the spa or watching the sunset， you do not want to go back to the real world anyway.

当夜晚悄悄临近，海上生明月时，修道院之夜拉开序幕。拾级而下，露天酒吧浸入微凉夜色，三三两两衣着整齐的客人，已开始餐前小酌。
When the night quietly approaches， the moon rises above the sea and the night of the monastery begins. Immersed in the coolness of the night at the open bar， two or three neatly dressed guests were having a pre-dinner drink.
当夜晚悄悄临近，海上生明月时，修道院之夜拉开序幕。拾级而下，露天酒吧浸入微凉夜色，三三两两衣着整齐的客人，已开始餐前小酌。酒店鸡尾酒也极具特色，我逗趣地点了名为“童女玛丽”，实为血腥玛丽的改良版，从此爱上一发不可收。其独特之处不仅在于使用当地食材，更大胆将佐食的腌制小鱼用作调料来提升味觉丰富感。 再拾步上到餐厅，海上冉冉升起明月，入夜的地中海显示出与白天的炙烈喧哗完全不一样的沉静安详。
酒店主厨是位早年出道时闯荡过上海的德国人，有着比意大利南方人有过之而无不及的浪漫情怀。新鲜食材，精心料理，由操着浓重意大利口音的侍者一一呈上，佐以当地佳酿，邀明月入席。

Immersed in the coolair of the night at the open bar， two or three neatly dressed guests were having a pre-dinner drink. The hotel offers a very unique cocktail called "Virgin Mary". I fell in love with the modified version of of Bloody Mary immediately. The uniqueness of the cocktail lies not only in the use of local ingredients， but also in the pickled fish which enhances the flavor.
Ascending up to the restaurant， with the moon rising above the sea， the Mediterranean shows a completely different serenity at night.
The head chef of the hotel is a German who once worked in Shanghai， romantic just as the southern Italian. Waiters with a strong Italian accent served us. How pleasant it is to dine with the moon here.

The sun rose over the barely covered southern village and the rooster woke us up. Opening the window we saw the sea and the sky blending together. Morning mist floated above the vineyard on the hillside， just like a painting. And the Amalfi Coast was also just waking up from a dream.
The Amalfi Coast is famous for its fishing village built on the cliffs. Every summer， numerous stars bring their families to this resort. The hotel is expensive， but it is still hard to book a room. Locals close their businesses in winter， only keeping their doors open in the tourist season from April to October. In the hotel， in addition to Italian， you can also hear American English， Cockney and German. The Japanese are the only Asian faces in the hotel. Europe's major cities have opened direct flights to Naples， making it more convenient to stay in the hotel. Guests can choose to come from the Naples airport by helicopter to avoid the winding mountain road. The peninsula that parks the helicopters once belonged to Sophia Laurent and her husband Carlos Ponti and it is currently uninhabited now.
