According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in April 2014, a total of 293,000 pesticide enterprises above designated size produced 292,000 tons of pesticide raw materials, down 2.6% from the same period of last year. In April, the province that produced the most pesticides was Jiangsu Province with an output of 87,200 tons, followed by Shandong Province with a production of 68,400 tons and Zhejiang Province with 28,400 tons of output in the third place. From the pesticide category, in April pesticides, fungicides, herbicides accounted for 18.2%, 6.2% and 46.6% respectively.
