This article discusses the reliability and safety issues of 27 hydraulic disc brakes (ASEA) mounted on a Polish made lift in mines and copper mines to determine the reliability of the disc brake and its components It was completed in 1980. In analyzing the operation of the disc brake, the author seeks to distinguish the so-called “reliability of use” that affects lift from the “safety” that causes the consequences of disasters (disastrous, dangerous, etc.) .
