Describes a new rodent material in the Gomphos layer of Bomba in the Erlian Basin, Inner Mongolia, and named a new species: Yuanomys zhoui. The difference between the new genus and other Early Eocene combed toe rats lies in the fact that the cheek teeth have slender and isolated tips and tips, the anterior and posterior tips extend transversely, and the serrated faces facing the trigone are steep. These features are somewhat similar to alagomyids. Based on paleomagnetic and biostratigraphic contrasts, the presence of these rodents suggests that the earliest evolution of modern rodents is likely to occur during the Miocene-first Eocene epoch.
