目前连铸过程中,当金属液于水冷结晶器内凝固后被拉出来时,金属铸坯的四周形成不少皱纹。为避免连铸坯表面起皱,应克服金属恒速移动过程中粘附于水冷结晶器壁的自然倾向。为此,英国钢铁公司Sheffield实验室采用下述两种方法。其一是,使用菜籽油或其它熔剂来润滑;其二是,控制结晶器本身的振动。通过控制不同连铸速度下结晶器振动的振幅及频率来减少或消除连铸坯的表面缺陷。
In the continuous casting process, when the molten metal is pulled out after being solidified in a water-cooled crystallizer, a lot of wrinkles are formed around the metal slab. In order to avoid wrinkling of the slab surface, the natural tendency of the metal to adhere to the wall of the water-cooled crystallizer should be overcome. To this end, the British steel company Sheffield Laboratory uses the following two methods. One is to use rapeseed oil or other flux for lubrication; the other is to control the vibration of the mold itself. By controlling the amplitude and frequency of mold oscillation under different casting speed, the surface defects of slab can be reduced or eliminated.
