42例误诊病例均为临床症状成体征出现14天尚未诊者,男26例,女16例。年龄10～57岁,平均29岁。其中院外误诊31例、院内误诊11例。院内误诊最短2天、最长65天,院内外累计误诊2～4周21例,5～6周16例,7～8周2例,3个月以上3例(最长1例达6个月之久)。42例结脑早期误诊为伤寒7例,误诊为败血症、肺炎、中毒性脑病各4例。结脑的中晚期已出现明显的脑膜刺
