A favorable feature of haploids used in mutation-inducing and screening assays is that researchers can induce genetic variation using mutagens and direct screening for ideal mutants. This article studies the effect of EMS on tobacco anther culture and chlorophyll content and protein variation. Materials and Methods Materials: Anther was obtained from flower buds of the tobacco variety Wisconsin-38.
