Before the 1860s, the names of chemical elements in the world were very confusing. In September 1860, more than 140 famous chemists from all over the world held a meeting in Karlsruhe, Germany, so that the chemical elements have the international Latin name. Nowadays, the Chinese names of Chinese chemical elements seem simple. However, the great majority of these words are not found in ancient Chinese books. They are the first syllable or second Chinese chemical worker under the Latin name in the past 100 years or so Syllable pronunciation created by the new word. After many chemists keep researching and innovating, meeting and choosing for many times before getting the common Chinese name. The course of modern chemistry came to China from Europe only in the 1860s. In 1862 (the first year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty), the then Yamen invited to establish the same in Beijing
