对于建筑和建筑学,本·范·贝克尔有许多精妙的观点与实践。他认为,建筑空间需要能够在人们的脑海中停留,让人回味。同时,他也认为“如果建筑学不能很好的理解社会在不同时间的运转和变化,也就无法真正将其以政治或文化的形式表现出来。缺少了这种理解,建筑学还存在失去其组织结构寓意的危险。”在这样的理念作用下,本·范·贝克尔在商业项目及混合利用项目中都做出了两个方向上的探索:一是建筑设计的社会逻辑,一是随之产生的空间设计的实验性。
For architecture and architecture, Ben van Becker has many subtle ideas and practices. He believes that the architectural space needs to be able to stay in people’s minds and make people feel aftertaste. At the same time, he also thinks that “If architecture does not understand well the operation and changes of society at different times, it cannot really show it in a political or cultural form. Without this understanding, architecture still has a loss. The danger of its organizational structure is implied.” Under the influence of this concept, Ben van Becker has made explorations in both directions in commercial projects and mixed-use projects: First, the social logic of architectural design. This is an experimental space design.
