In the past year, the scientific and technological personnel undertaking geological survey projects in the northwestern region have carried forward the scientific spirit of exploring and daring to innovate and made new progress in their work. In the basic geological survey, some Archean-Proterozoic ancient crystalline basements and ophiolitic melanges have been discovered successively in the Qinling orogenic belt and the Qilian orogenic belt and a number of important isotopic data have been obtained to confirm that the southwestern margin of the North China Plate
