湘中籼3号(原名88-140)是我所用湘早籼1号与湘中籼2号杂交选育而成的一个高产、多抗、适应性强、早熟中籼新品种。1992年元月,通过省农作物品种审定委员会审定命名为湘中籼3号。适宜于我省以及长江中下游地区作中、晚稻栽培。
Xiangzhong 3 (formerly 88-140) is a high-yielding, multi-resistant, adaptable and early-maturing medium-indica new indica variety which was bred by Xiangzaoxian No.1 and Xiangzhongxian2. January 1992, approved by the Provincial Crop Variety Certification Committee named Xiangzhong 3. Suitable for the province and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River for mid and late rice cultivation.
