孟滦林管局始建于1963年,总经营面积154万亩,下辖十个国有林场、一个种苗场、两家企业、一个规划院,是全省经营面积最大的国营林场管理局。迄今,林管局已走过了四十年的风雨历程。四十年来,林管局在省林业局(厅)的领导和关怀下,紧紧依靠当地政府和群众,求实创新、艰苦奋斗,在森林培育、林场经济发展和场圃建设上取得了重大成就,为林管局的发展奠定了坚实的基础,对本地林业、经济和社会发展发挥了示范带动作用,为绿化滦河、护卫京津做出了突出贡献。
