“What is library science?” Is a classic document that led the way in the turning-point of history. Its publication has aroused a great debate and then criticized and misread it. Reviewing the old works of Mr. Liu Guojun, we feel that many of his ideas and ideas as guides for our academic and library science are still instructive today. Strengthening the study of academic history plays an important role in promoting the development of library science.
