陈万雄先生著的《新文化运动前的陈独秀》(香港中文大学出版社,1979年版),是一部系统的分析研究陈独秀早年思想活动的力作,尤以资料丰富、考订精细见长,学术价值自不待言。然而,笔者细读全书,发现该书在若干技术细节问题上尚有疵点。兹举几例: 一,原书第11页注④谓“陈东晓编《陈独秀评传》”,第145页的“徵引书目”又持此说,并揭其版本:“亚东书局,一九三三年,北平”。案:陈东晓所编的书名当为《陈独秀评论》,该书的出版者亦应为“东亚书局”。
