This article presents a new transducer analysis technique that reduces the filter's triple-pass response, which predicts mixed echoes consisting of mechanical and regenerative reflections. Regenerative reflections can not be eliminated in bi-directional transducers with low insertion loss and become the main source of three transitions. However, it is possible to counteract the mechanical reflections and the reflections from the reflections to form a device that suppresses three transitions. This article describes an unbalanced two-finger transducer structure that reduces the level of three crossovers at the center frequency by more than 20 dB without increasing substrate size and insertion loss.
