可编程序控制器(Programmable Controller)(简称PC)是一种基于微处理机原理的数字式控制装置,它使用了可编程的存储器以存储指令,并执行诸如逻辑、顺序、计时、计数与运算等功能,通过模拟和数字输入/出等组件,控制各种机械或生产过程。它不仅能替代继电器控制简单的开、关顺序,还能进行模拟量控制。它还具有通信与网络功能,能形成分布式控制系统,监督其他控制器,与上级计算机通信,收集生产数据,将重要的信息送往各管理部门,加强生产控制与管理决策。有人认为,今后的工厂,不管采用何种控制方案,包括采用机器人、柔性生产线等,都离不开可编程序控制器。应用可编程序控制器体现了用微电子技术改造机械工业这个根本方向,因此,本刊自这一期起开辟“可编程序控制器及其应用”专栏,对有关产品及应用加以介绍。欢迎读者来稿介绍有关PC的开发应用成果及展开学术性讨论
