Numerical studies of shallow water waves on sloping beach with artificial boundary are implemented. The local Lagrangian determination of moving waterline incorporated with the Eulerian calculation of the interior flow field is applied. When the riverbed is flat far from the beach, and some extra conditions are assumed, the exact artificial boundary condition can be given. In order to overcome the difficulty that the hydraulic jump appears during the computation, a TVD scheme is used. Computational results show the efficiency of the numerical methods.
