This paper demonstrates that the formula for calculating the phase content derived from the unassayed X-ray quantitative phase analysis of a set of identical textures is in complete agreement with the formula derived by Zevin for unwrought state samples. This result shows that if one can provide a sample of the same state of texture but different in content, or change the phase content of the sample by any means, such as heat treatment, of a textured sample to be tested Without changing its textural state, the method of phase quantification of a textured sample is identical to that of a normal sample without texture.
