The right of association is an inalienable right proclaimed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and enshrined in the Constitution of the Soviet Union, the Constitution of the Member States of the Union and the Constitution of the Autonomous Republic. The state of Soviets is concerned with bringing out the creative initiative of citizens, social and political activism, caring about citizens’ participation in the management of the country and society, and safeguarding the freedom of Soviet citizens in establishing social groups. CHAPTER 1 GENERAL PRINCIPLES Article 1 The concept of social organization Social organizations are voluntary organizations created in the light of the free expression of the civic will which is united on the basis of the agreement of interests. Political parties, mass movements, trade unions, women’s organizations, veterans, disabled people’s organizations, youth organizations, children’s organizations, science, technology, culture and education, sports and other associations, creative associations, fellow associations, foundations, societies and others
