5月2日是铁路五一小长假运输的最后一天，全国铁路迎来返程客流高峰，共发送旅客778万人，同比增加86.9万人，增长12.6%。
在今年的五一小长假运输中，铁路部门积极实行多渠道、多方式售票，重点保证旅游景区车站的票额需求，并根据客流情况灵活调整票额共用、复用范围，努力挖掘客运潜力。在客流比较集中的车站，铁路加强旅客进出站、上下车的引导和组织，确保旅客乘降有序。同时，铁路部门把服务作为假日运输的突出环节，下大力量加以改进，丰富服务项目，打造动车组服务精品，加强站车卫生环境的整治，为旅客创造清洁舒适的旅行环境。铁路部门密切关注天气变化，及时掌握大风、降雨等恶劣天气和设备故障情况，并认真做好设备检查和养护，加强组织，维护良好的列车运行秩序，确保运输安全。同时，各铁路局充分利用施工停止的有利时机，强化装卸车组织，安排好电煤、油品、节日物资等重点物资装运，满足社会生产生活需要。

In the station of concentrated passengers, railway enhance the lead and organization of visitors on and off, to ensure that visitors take down on the order. Meanwhile, the railway sector see the service as the outstanding links of holiday transport, make great effort to improve and enrich services, create EMU service brand, enhance the sanitary conditions of station and train, create a clean and comfortable passengers traveling environment.
Railway pay close attention to weather changes, grasp situation of the wind, rain and other inclement weather and equipment failure, do a good job of equipment inspection and maintenance, strengthen the organization, maintain the good order of train to ensure transportation safety.
Railway sector will priority use the added ability of new line and new graphs, take various measures to facilitate passengers. In the section which passenger demand more, the railway sector will give priority to the fixed grouping plans, plus the vehicles and use other measures to increase the direct link capacity; the trains between major cities, especially Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou would spike full of axes.
