深度覆(牙合)是指上颌前牙覆盖下颌前牙牙冠二分之一以上,临床上常遇见下前牙咬及上腭牙龈的病例。当上前牙缺失后,由于下颌前牙咬及上腭软组织没有足够间隙,或颌间间隙很小,因而造成修复的困难。过去对深度覆(牙合)患者上前牙缺失。根据不同情况,适当地磨短下前牙的切缘,再在塑胶基托内放置增力支架,以增强基托的坚固度。也有直接用硬度较大的不锈钢或钴铬合金铸造基托,或用锤造白合金片与塑胶组成混合基托,也有在义齿上前牙区的基托上加平面导板
