Objective: To investigate the prognosis and impact of blood lactate clearance rate on critically ill children. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 150 children admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to January 2011 in our hospital was conducted. According to the score of PCIS in children, the children were divided into survival group and death group. High lactic acid clearance group and low lactic acid clearance group, monitoring 6h blood lactic acid clearance rate and various physiological parameters, compare their differences. Results: The lactic acid clearance rate in survival group was significantly higher than that in death group (P <0.01). The mortality in high lactic acid clearance group was significantly lower than that in low lactic acid clearance group (P <0.05) ). Conclusion: The blood lactate clearance rate is a simpler and more sensitive indicator for the early diagnosis of critically ill children, which is helpful to judge the prognosis.
