每位教师都知道,阅读是学习第二语言的重要组成部分。一个人的阅读能力的高低不仅影响着学习,而且也影响着他的语言使用能力。新课标中也明确提出了英语教学的目标之一是提高学生的阅读能力,以便于更好地帮助学生学习。新课标还规定,高中学生必须能够通过阅读获得和处理文章中的信息;了解文章的主要思想和作者的态度;根据上下文猜测词义;学会从网上获取信息;善于阅读报纸,杂志等。因此英语教学应该重视培养学生自主学习的能力,泛读精读相结合,综合培养学生的阅读能力。泛读教学是教学中不可或缺的一部分。总所周知泛读的重要性,然而在教学中,有些老师对泛读教学并不重视;有的用精读的教学模式教授泛读课程。这些做法很难让学生的英语阅读水平得到提高。
Every teacher knows that reading is an important part of learning a second language. A person’s ability to read not only affects the learning, but also affects his ability to use the language. The new curriculum also made it clear that one of the goals of English teaching is to improve students’ reading ability in order to better help students learn. The new curriculum also provides that high school students must be able to obtain and process the information in the article through reading, understand the main idea of the article and the author’s attitude, guess the meaning according to the context, learn to obtain information from the Internet, and be good at reading newspapers and magazines. Therefore, English teaching should attach importance to cultivating the ability of students to learn independently, a combination of intensive reading, comprehensive training of students’ reading ability. Extensive reading teaching is an integral part of teaching. It is well-known that the importance of extensive reading, however, in teaching, some teachers do not attach importance to teaching extensive reading; some use intensive reading teaching mode teaching extensive reading course. These practices make it difficult for students to improve their English reading skills.
