美籍华人女作家汤亭亭的作品《中国佬》是其人气小说《女勇士》的姊妹篇,通过汤家四代男子在美国生存的经历,折射出华裔作为美国少数族裔长期以来受到的不公正待遇,小说不仅是在书写那段正史中缺失的历史,也是在描写华人在白人主流文化迫害下所承受的苦难及伤痛。本文拟从创伤理论的视角探析《中国佬》中华裔男性所经历的创伤、创伤成因及治愈之法。
American Chinese writer Maxine Hong Kingston’s “Chinatown” is the companion piece to her popular novel “The Woman Warrior.” Through the experience of four generations of Tang family survivors in the United States, it reflects the long-standing lack of Chinese Americans as ethnic minorities in the United States In fairness, the novel is not only a history lacking in the writing of the official history, but also describes the suffering and pain suffered by the Chinese under the persecution of the white culture. This article intends to explore the traumatic and traumatic causes and the cure of Chinese men experienced by “Chinese guys” from the perspective of traumatic theory.
