思想政治工作的内容大致可分为政治教育和思想工作两大部分。只要是党的干部，都有做政治思想工作的责任与义务，所不同的只是分工的不同和工作的侧重点不同；领导干部、专职的思想政治工作干部以及业务干部和一般干部，对做思想政治工作都有责无旁贷的职责。思想政治工作的主要对象是广大人民群众，所以，思想政治工作就应该以广大人民群众的满意程度为主要评价标准。
