在互联网络、电子商务等信息技术的驱动下,企业经营正由传统的以产品为核心、纵向的、高度集成的、注重内部功能优化的大而全模式向以客户为主导、更灵活、更专注于核心竞争力的模式转化。扩展企业(Extencled Enter prise)就是这种模式转化的典型产物。所谓“扩展企业”,是指核心企业扩展其边界,与其他成员企业(包括供应方、合作伙伴和最终客户等)建立长期紧密合作或者供应关系, 协同进行产品制造、销售和服务的一种联合体式的组织形态。有效的扩展企业协同离不开信息技术系统的可靠支持。信息系统支持平台能够实现成员企业间的过程集成和信息集成,使得成员企业能够在业务流程上实现相互操作,共享信息、知识和资源,在业务上实现及时的信息处理和反馈,从而达到协同效应。
