攸县畜牧水产局的水产科技人员,根据前两年稻田养鱼的经验教训和攸县的地理、气候等具体情况,分别在城关、上云桥、网岭、皇图岭、坪阳庙、石羊塘等六个乡镇,选择了103丘、共107亩向阳、保水、管理方便的水田,采取田、沟、凼三结合的形式,进行稻田养鱼高产试验。要求田边有过水沟,田中开一凼,凼面为稻田总面积的10—15％,凼深一米左右,田、沟、凼要三通;在确保水稻的正常耕作和不降低粮食产量的前提下,力争每亩稻田产鱼50公斤,或产大规格鱼种1000尾,亩平增收200元。经过一年的努力和对12户试验户、共9.96亩稻田的抽样验收,取得了亩产鲜鱼80.94公斤,鱼种569.3尾,产值274.62元
