北京晚报《五色土》副刊的“一分钟小说”,大多在千字以内,最短的仅六百余字,分把钟可读完。不少作家、业余作者和读者对“一分钟小说”很感兴趣,热情支持。“一分钟小说”出世以后,来信、来稿激增。最初两个月内,晚报副刊平均每天收到的小说作品30篇,每月有八、九百件之多。这些作品,有的来自知名作家,大多出自业余作者之手,有相当数量是“处女作”。北京晚报复刊后的8个月内(截至10月中旬),共发表“一分钟小说”39篇。其中以四、五月份刊发较多,平均每星期超过两篇。许多读者来信希望多发这类作品。有的读者说:“‘一分钟小说’的生活气息浓厚,在短
