近十几年来,全国各地涌现出了如温州、泉州、惠东、鹤山、重庆璧山、成都武侯等许多鞋都、鞋生产基地,这些鞋都和鞋生产基地不是分布在东南沿海一带,就是位于中国西部大开发的中心地带,唯独在东承西接的中国中部不见芳踪。而现在,在宿州主动承接产业转移的大背景下,宿州这个中国中部的要塞之地,就即将建设起一个现代化的鞋业生产基地工业园区。并且在这个鞋生产基地工业园区的规划建设中,宿州还请来了当前国内最具权威的鞋类科研机构——中国皮革和制鞋工业研究院参与其中,为鞋业园区提供科学合理的规划建设蓝图。
