According to the statistics of the mid-1990s, there were about 500 million deaf patients in the world. In 1995, there were more than 28 million people in the United States with varying degrees of hearing impairment, accounting for 10.9% of the total population. It is hard to estimate how many deaf patients in our country The census of disabled persons in the late 1980s showed that there were 1.71 million deaf children in mainland China, of which 740,000 are under 7 years of age and 240,000 deaf children are newly born every year. This situation is worrying. Deaf patients with cochlear sensory cytopathy is more common, often accompanied by tinnitus, some patients may be due to simultaneous cochlear and vestibular lesions associated with dizziness. Due to the non-regenerative nature of cochlear sensory cells, the treatment of sensorineural deafness is very difficult.
