Discourse, whether verbal or written expression, must be connected and reasonable. This paper intends to discuss some non-verbal constraints of discourse coherence from the three aspects of logical semantic reasoning, pattern knowledge background and associative bonding according to the laws of discourse and certain contexts. Logical and semantic reasoning Grice believes that the reason why people do not speak a series of incoherent
