北庄镇位于鲁南奇峰抱犊崮的脚下,面积250平方公里,人口2.6万。 抱犊崮得大自然青睐,虽然它高不过580米,但却素有“小泰山”之称,泉流瀑泻,柏苍松郁,云绕石崮,鹰旋崖间。热带、亚热带树木150余种,维管植物340多种,银杏、刺楸、流苏、苦木等名稀树种遍布其间;大天鹅、长耳鸮等一、二级保护鸟类有14种之多。周围六条公路在山脚下交汇,给北庄镇的经济发展提供了便利的交通。1994年被列为国家级森林公园后,每天平均接待游人1000多位,年创利税达200多万元。
