5月18日,我校水科所振动台试验室,向人们成功地演示模拟1982年前发生在美国旧金山的地震灾害情况:地震波冲击着一座按1/6比例精心砌造的五层楼房,在烈度增大到8至9度时,楼房轰然倒塌.
On May 18th, the shaking table laboratory of our school’s water science department successfully demonstrated to people the earthquake disaster that occurred in San Francisco before 1982: the earthquake wave impacted a five-story building that was carefully constructed in 1/6 ratio. When the intensity increased to 8 to 9 degrees, the building collapsed.
