正在兴起的OpenDoc技术,很有希望成为交叉平台、独立语言、支持局域网等的应用中成为各种组合文档交换的标准。在这里介绍其慨况。 一些应用都是整体性的,对其中所包含的每一个功能,用户都会提出要求(不管他们是否真的希望用上),这就等于将他们闭锁在一种固定的工作方法中。新的软件技术要求升级换代,通常都从一个单独的销售商买一套产品,以组合成各种应用集合。在没有更新的情况下,没有什么方法可用之混合装配一个应用系统,也没有什么方法对现有的一套产品加上新的技术,并且也没有一种方便的途径为用户建立一个定做的系统(custom system)。当软件工业引入部件软件之后,这些问题就迎刃而解了。它所带来的变化也是一场软件业的革命。这场革命的第一步就称之为OpenDoc。
The emerging OpenDoc technology, promising to become a cross-platform, independent language, support for LAN applications such as a variety of combinations of document exchange standards. Here’s the situation. Some apps are holistic, and for every feature included, users ask for it (whether they really want it or not), tantamount to locking them in a fixed way of working. New software technologies require upgrades, often from a single vendor to buy a set of products, to form a combination of various applications. Without updating, there is no way to mix and match an application system, there is no way to add new technologies to an existing set of products, and there is no easy way for users to create a customized system (custom system). After the software industry introduced component software, these problems were solved. The changes it brings are also a revolution in the software industry. The first step in this revolution is called OpenDoc.
