After the Sino-US trade dispute has warmed up since the renminbi exchange rate issue, the focus of Sino-U.S. Relations has shifted to trade issues. On November 17, the Executive Committee of the United States Textile Agreement voted to impose protective sanctions on knitwear and bras imported from China. According to the sanctions, the total shipments of the above goods exported from China to the United States will be limited to less than 7.5% over the previous year. This move will not only exacerbate the somewhat modest trade tensions between China and the United States, but also cause worries over the resurgence of trade protectionism in the United States.
