外语是进行国际交往的重要工具。随着对外开放的深入,英语在国际交往中起着重要的桥梁和纽带作用。为了培养跨世纪的人才,早在1978年,我校就从三年级起开设了英语实验课。1986年,我校为加强小学英语教学,结合我校实际情况,继续把英语列入小学高年级的课程,在五、六年级开设了英语课。从此我校的外语教学走上了正轨。根据小学生的特点,从外语心理发展水平和十年外语教学实验看,小学开设英语课切实可行,它有助于培养学生的兴趣和发展智力,开阔视野和提高素质。这是小学开设英语课的优势所在。
Foreign languages are an important tool for conducting international exchanges. With the deepening of opening to the outside world, English plays an important role as a bridge and link in international exchanges. In order to cultivate the talents of the past century, as early as 1978, our school started from the third grade English experimental class. In 1986, in order to strengthen the English teaching in primary schools, our school continued to include English in the upper grades of primary schools and English classes in the fifth and sixth grades according to the actual situation of our university. Since then, my school's foreign language teaching on the right track. According to the characteristics of primary school students, it is practicable to set up English classes in elementary schools from the psychological level of foreign language development and the ten-year foreign language teaching experiment. It helps to develop students' interest and intelligence, broaden their horizons and improve their qualities. This is the advantage of English classes in elementary schools.
