α-安息香肟是钼的特效试剂,在钼的分离分析中应用最广泛。它可从含硝酸的溶液中,并在很宽的酸度范围内沉淀钼。裂变产物中大量的铀及其他裂变元素锶、锆、钌等在酸性环境中并不与α-安息香肟生成沉淀,也不与钼发生明显的共沉淀。因而,可采用α-安息香肟沉淀法将钼从含有大量铀和其他裂变产物的硝酸体系中分离出来。
Alpha-benzoin oxime is a molybdenum-specific reagent that is most widely used in molybdenum separation and analysis. It precipitates molybdenum from nitric acid-containing solutions over a wide range of acidity. A large amount of uranium and other fissile elements in the fission products, such as strontium, zirconium and ruthenium, do not precipitate with α-benzoin oxime in acidic environment and do not significantly co-precipitate with molybdenum. Thus, molybdenum can be isolated from nitric acid systems containing a large amount of uranium and other fission products by α-benzoin oxime precipitation.
