The Chinese Electrotechnical Energy-Saving Academic Symposium and the Symposium on Electrical Engineering in South-Central and Southwest China, co-sponsored by China Electrotechnical Society and Hunan Institute of Machinery, were held in Changsha, Hunan Province from May 5th to 10th, 1982. Representatives of 177 units from relevant departments across the country have a total of 233 people. The 98 papers selected were divided into eight topics: motor, transformer and reactive power compensation, electrical materials, electric heating equipment, welding equipment, electrical control, power and electronics, and energy development and management.
