美国金属切削研究公司总负责人M.Field博士曾于1980年8月参加美国生产技术代表团访华,并在北京、上海讲学。最近,他又向中国机械工程学会赠寄了《机械加工数据手册》(1980年第三版),上海机械工程学会复制了一份,存入上海机电一局科技情报研究所,供同行们参考。本手册是由美国金属切削研究公司出版的。该公司是美国一家有权威性的金属切削和材料加工性能的研究和咨询机构。在二次世界大战期间,它为美国国防部及航空工业进行难加工材料的加工研究工作,以后业务逐步扩大到其他各种机械制造业,并为世界各国服务。手册中所推荐的切削数据来源是多方面的,
Dr. M. Field, the head of the US Metal Cutting Research Company, participated in the U.S. production technology delegation in August 1980 and gave lectures in Beijing and Shanghai. Recently, he also gave the China Mechanical Engineering Society a “Machinery Processing Data Book” (third edition, 1980). The Shanghai Mechanical Engineering Society copied one copy and deposited it in Shanghai Institute of Mechatronics Science and Technology Information Institute for the reference of his colleagues. . This manual was published by the United States Metal Cutting Research Corporation. The company is an authoritative research and consulting agency for metal cutting and material processing in the United States. During World War II, it worked on the processing of hard-to-process materials for the U.S. Department of Defense and the aviation industry. Afterwards, it gradually expanded its operations to various other machinery manufacturing industries and served the countries of the world.
