一、指导思想以教育部《普通高中英语课程标准》(实验)理念为引领,提高学生用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析和解决问题的能力以及用英语进行思维和表达的能力。《普通高中英语课程标准》(实验)在语言技能目标中要求高中毕业生除教材外课外阅读量应累计达到30万词以上。从应试角度来看,全国各地的英语高考试题中阅读题分值占试题总分的比重超过50%。因此,英语老师指导学生进行大量的英语课外阅读是在阅读中扩展学生的词汇量、提升学生阅读能力的重要举措。
