To clarify the mechanism of acupuncture analgesia from CNS is an important aspect of acupuncture anesthesia research. Central serotonin (5-HT) has been shown to be an important factor in acupuncture analgesia. On the central catecholaminergic neurotransmitters, from the majority of the current experimental results seems to have acupuncture analgesic effect, but there are still a few experimental data and this concept is not
