一九六二年以前,我师栽培的水稻品种仅有本地黑芒、本地糯稻两个农家种.这两个稻种的共同特点是:适应当地自然条件,耐低温,耐盐碱,产量稳定.但不耐肥,易落粒,易倒伏,出米率不高,产量较低,不能适应大面积水稻生产发展的要求,也不符调剂人力、机力、畜力和水稻机械化的需要.一九五九年起,先后向国内外引入160多个品种,经过观察、比较,证明中稉129、北京二号、农垦30号(银优)、水源300粒、信农糯稻等适宜在本地区栽培,生育期一般比本地黑芒长20—40天.这些品种具有耐肥、抗倒、不易脱粒、品质好、出米率高、产量高和适于机械收割的特点.因此,从一九六三年起,开始大面积试栽,增产十分显著.现将这些品种特征、特性和栽培要点简介于下.
