凯瑟琳·安·波特是美国现代文坛上的一颗璀璨明星,她的作品以短篇为主,并且与其生活轨迹有很大关联。短篇小说《偷窃》中的主人公“她”就与波特有着相同的职业——作家。波特以细腻的笔触,刻画“她”由丢钱包引发的思考及心理上的细微变化。主人公性格的发展变化轨迹,无疑值得我们细细玩味。本文从交叉的生活轨迹形成了性格的相似,客观环境对个体的影响以及遭遇彻底背叛后的觉醒三方面,浅析小说中女主人公性格发展的轨迹。
Catherine Ann Porter is a shining star in the modern American literary world. Her works are mainly short stories, which are closely related to their life tracks. The protagonist of “The Theft” in the short story, “She”, has the same job as Porter - the writer. Potter with delicate brush strokes, portrays “her ” thinking and psychological subtle changes triggered by the lost purse. Character development of the protagonist orbit, no doubt worth pondering us. This article analyzes the trace of the character development of the heroine in the novel from three aspects: the similarities of life, the influence of the objective environment on the individual, and the awakening after the complete betrayal.
