A honeypot is a preconfigured system of vulnerabilities that can be used to lure hackers into attacking and compromising systems. It involves many flexible application of information security technology, which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of the traditional information security defense technology and make the protection system more perfect and safe. The main principles of honeypot technology and the research status at home and abroad are introduced. It is believed that honeypot will play more and more important role in information security in the future.
