优秀的短篇小说一般都是经过作者精雕细琢,以小刻面来反映社会人生的文学作品,因而深受广大读者的喜爱。短篇小说具有情节较少、篇幅较短的特点,是一种理想的英语教学素材。英语短篇小说的学习不仅可以给学生带来精神上的快乐,还能给学生某些人生的启迪,同时更重要的是它能提高学生学习英语的积极性,培养和提高学生运用英语语言的综合能力。可谓寓乐于学,寓乐于教,一举数得。然而怎样在教学中实现这一举数得是我们英语教师所关心的问题。本文就英语专业高级短篇小说(以下简称小说)教学的步骤和方法做一介绍。
Excellent short stories are generally well-received by the author and reflect the literary works of society in small facets, and are therefore well received by readers. Short stories have the characteristics of less plot and shorter space, and are ideal English teaching materials. Learning English short stories can not only bring spiritual happiness to students, but also give students some enlightenment in life. At the same time, it is more important that it can improve students’ enthusiasm for learning English and cultivate and improve students’ comprehensive ability to use English language. . It can be described as being fun, learning, and teaching. However, how to achieve this in teaching is a problem that our English teachers care about. This article gives an introduction to the steps and methods of teaching English advanced short stories (hereinafter referred to as novels).
