Introduction The current color television systems are designed to reproduce tristimulus color images as specified in the NTRC Code, but the actual phosphor used in picture tubes is slightly different in color. The color reproducibility error caused by the differences in the chromaticity of the base color has traditionally been studied on (television) machines only, but as the performance of the television system as a whole improves, concrete measures should be taken on this issue.
