我处于1960-1964年从印尼引进几批南洋楹种子,做了一些驯化实验工作,并将种苗分发给省内外二十多个单位试种。现将我处的初步工作简介如下: 一、南洋楹的特性南洋楹(仁仁树、仁人木)原产印尼,是半落叶大乔木,高达45米,胸径达1米以上。树干直圆,树冠稀疏,根系发达,性喜温热气候,较肥沃土壤。是热带树木中较抗寒的树种。原产地北纬6°。厦门在北纬23°,引种已获成功,开花结果正常;福州在北纬26°,1963年引种也初获成功。今后可扩大试种,进一步培育抗寒性能。
