The screw is an important machine element which supports modern ages industrial technology.This report outlines the introduction origin of the screw in Japan from the viewpoint of the machine technology history,and the manufacturing technology of the screw in the generation is clarified that time.Then,the relation between reason for becoming discontinuous the manufacturing technology of the screw in the present and culture of Japan is shown.
